I got the title for this from Sailor Moon. This is a collection of things I’ve learned and in some cases the lessons were long and hard. The sources are wide and varied from my life’s experiences to a quote from Sailor Moon; can you guess which? The quote summed up one of my earliest lessons very nicely. Yes, I’m sure you can quote exceptions to these; my experience and that of my teachers is that over the long run these work. Now I don’t lead a perfect life; sometimes I forget or otherwise get diverted from my course. This is usually followed by my being provided with a reminder.

These aren’t in a particular order; I think they’re all important. Although I’ve written these down before in letters and notes to others, this is the first time I’ve written them down with the idea of keeping them in written form for others to read. Because of this I may change the wording somewhat as time goes by if I think of better words to express the intent.

Lovely Girls' Policy:

If you give something it will return to you:
If you are kind you will be treated kindly
If you are accepting you will be accepted
If you are fair you will be treated fairly

When you are in a pinch never give up. Go in with your face up and do your best.

Don’t keep score, life isn’t about who you owe or who owes you. Life is about caring, helping, understanding, and love.

If you care about someone let them know it.

Thank people, praise people, doing good must always be encouraged.

If you must offer correction do so in humility and love, recognizing that none of us are perfect.

Never argue with someone who’s opinions you hold in doubt.

Don't waste time pining over things in the past. You have today; do something good with it.

Love binds us to each other and to goodness. The magic of love is made stronger when shared openly. Through love evil is vanquished.

Pay attention in life; many wondrous things are happening all around us. Opportunities to learn and grow come and pass quickly; some will not return.

Never hate. Hate is part of evil; it knows no justice and only destroys. The one who hates is often harmed most of all. Love conquers hate and through love we are freed from it.

Always work for Good. There is a choice, we make it continuously every day, and there is no way to avoid it; we are either on the side of good and work for it or we are on the side of evil. Not choosing often is choosing.
