At our Spring of 2000 Camp, at the suggestion of Taffeta, we held our first toy drive for regular children that aren't in the happiest circumstances and need toys. May girls donated, even girls that could not come to Camp sent contributions. The nice people at Rainbow Mountain made an anonymous donation to a local agency near Camp that will distribute the toys. The people at the agency were delighted with the donation and sent word back through Camp that our donations would give several children happy birthdays when they otherwise would not have a gift. We all got a wonderful gift too, that warm good feeling in our hearts that we helped. At Fall Camp of 2000 we had our second toy collection; the girls donated another lovely bunch of toys and everyone seemed to like helping. Since then we have continued what is now becoming a tradition and collected toys at each Camp.
