Things you may want to bring to Camp.

If you plan to attend Ballet Class, there are some things you should bring. Ballet slippers are a must. They aren't expensive and it is very hard to dance properly without them. Other things you may want to have for Ballet class are: tights, a leotard, a sweat band to put on your head, a small towel, and a practice TuTu.

Sometimes at Camp we have school. The ones that teach class can't bring supplies for everyone. If you plan to attend class given there is one you should bring a pen or pencil(s), eraser, and a sharpener if you bring a wooden pencil. Also bring a lined writing pad. Girls who are not prepared won't be turned away, but they probably won't be able to fully participate in class.

Some girls bring several toys to Camp. Some toys are brought specifically to share with the other girls. Other toys are brought for their own use only. You may want to bring toy(s) of your own. It will be up to you to take care of your toy(s). If you leave them unattended or are otherwise careless with them no one else will be responsible for anything that happens to your toy(s).

One of the wonderful traditions at Camp is signing eachothers memory books. These are books of lined pages that we have eachother write in. We usually just write a short note about Camp to the girl who owns the book and sign it. You may want to bring a memory book too.

Some girls bring lots of clothes to Camp and some bring one or two outfits. We have opportunities to change about three times a day. The first is in the morning when we prepare to greet the new day. I usually wear my Ballet tights and leotard under my regular clothes so when I leave my room in the morning I am ready for more than one activity. Later in the morning some girls change into play clothes as we often go outdoors to the playground after Ballet Class and breakfast. Some girls change again in the early afternoon and again at dinnertime. The main thing I think of is that it takes me a while to change clothes and I'd rather spend that time playing with my friends. For that reason I sometimes skip a chance to change.

A big event at Camp is the Birthday Party at Spring Camp or the Christmas Party at Fall Camp. The party is for all the girls so there aren't any names on the Birthday Cake at Spring Camps. Some of the girls have in the past brought some small gifts and given one to each girl. Given how our group has grown, we now have a gift exchange. Each girl who wants to participate in the exchange brings a gift for the exchange without a name on it. If you bring a special gift for a friend, please give your gift to your friend at a time other than at the party.

Camp is often a topic of discussion at the Little Girl chat at girltalk.to Discussions about the next Camp usually gets quite frequent about 6 to 8 weeks before the next Camp is scheduled.

One final word; it's easy to bring too much. Consider how long Camp is and what is important to you. Don't over burden your Daddy or big Brother with carrying more things than you will be able to use.
